Party Like It's 1999

My sister, Carla Jean, asked if we could host a small, mellow get-together on New Year's Eve.  We agreed and invited a few of our closest friends.  Unfortunately, that included a couple of 20-somethings, who felt like the rest of us 30 & 40-somethings needed to reach back into the recesses of our past party days and play college drinking games.

I'm pretty sure the pictures tell the story far better than I ever could.

And so today, the 20-somethings are probably feeling fine, but us 30 & 40-somethings are going to need a few days of recovery.

I missed my besties that were partying elsewhere.  However this was a great night spent laughing with some of my favorite people.  It was the perfect way to say goodbye to 2011 and to welcome 2012.  I can't wait to see what this year has in store for our family.

What will 2012 have in store for this life as we know it?
