Conversation between my sister Carla, and my son Ben, the day after Christmas:
Ben: "Mom, this fruit salad (ambrosia) is delicious!"
Me: "I know Ben, it's always been your favorite food."
Carla: "Ben, do you love fruit salad more, or pie?"
Ben: "FRUIT SALAD!"
Carla: "Do you love fruit salad more, or homework?"
Ben: "Auntie Carla, of course I love fruit salad more!"
Carla: "Do you love fruit salad more, or Uncle Leo?"
Ben (thinking hard): "I love them the same."
Carla: "Do you love fruit salad more, or . . . "
Ben: "Auntie Carla, PLEASE do not make me choose between fruit salad and PIZZA!"
So, Uncle Leo, I guess that tells you where you rate on the food chain. Literally.
