2. Sand hills are not cold and you do not have to layer up to stay warm.
3. Sand hills don't get you wet and soggy.
4. Sand hills are readily available in California right now, whereas snow hills are not.
Reason that snow hills are better than sand hills:
1. After your sledding trip you don't find snow in your car, washer and dryer, pockets, on the floor of the laundry room, at the bottom of your bags, in your shoes . . .
Darrin and the kids had a ton of fun sledding down the sand hills at Dillons Beach last weekend while I snapped pictures. The kids couldn't get enough. And the trips UP the sand hills wore them out so the drive home on Sunday was nice and quiet. Marvelous!
