Concrete is in, pool is done. Patio furniture was taken out of the barn after three years away from the sunlight. New rugs purchased and placed under the furniture. Today's chore: pots and plants.
Darrin and I went to Silverado and they had a great selection of beautiful and fairly well priced pots. Then we met Scott, who helped us pick plants for our new pots. He did a great job and Darrin and I are very happy with the results! Darrin even planted grape vines at the base of each trellis so we can start training them to cover and give us shade (a little trick we saw at the Plymouth vineyards this weekend).
Of course we realize what my Dad has always said is true - when you live out in the country, what seems like a lot of plants purchased (and money spent!) at the nursery, looks like small beans when you get it home and realize how many more you need to buy to fill the space.
Oh well, a little bit at a time. But everything so far is coming together quite nicely!
