After two full weeks on the detox diet, tonight I admitted defeat. I could not bear the thought of one more week of no dairy/soy/gluten/tomatoes/meat. I was not destined to be a soy/gluten free vegan.
So I patted myself on the back for two weeks of giving it my best - sticking with the diet through three parties (and even my bunco night), three days of travel, several work lunches and a Women In Business Luncheon with my bestie, Shawna.
I have never been so excited to fail. Here was my first meal after two weeks of torture:
There's nothing unnatural about pizza and beer. It is part of a balanced diet.
