First, they built the seating walls out of cinder blocks.
They formed up for the concrete patio areas, which was really fun because it made the yard start to take shape.
Removing the old tile and plaster.
Adding rebar for the new cabo step (shallow area).
The cabo step after gunnite is applied.
New tile is installed (the brick is just the backing for where the ledgestone will be installed).
And Darrin replumbed the jets for the spa.
The next step is testing the existing pipes to make sure they hold pressure, spreading the rock for under the concrete, and pouring the concrete coping and decking around the pool. Then the ledgestone is installed on the walls, they sandblast the pool and install the PebbleSheen finish. Hardly seems like it should take four more weeks, but that's the realistic outlook.
The weather has been so nice we just want to swim in our pool!
