Mixed Reviews On Legoland

We had heard so many good things about Legoland in Carlsbad that we were so excited to spend the day there.  I do think if your kids are younger than five it would be a great place, because over half their rides are for little kiddos.  But I'm sad to report that we were totally disappointed in the place, and here's why:  1) It's super expensive ($328 for our family of 4), 2) It was super dirty (like caked mud and mold on the otherwise very cool lego exhibits), and 3) the lines crawled at a snail's pace to get on a ride that lasted 30 seconds.  Maybe Disneyland has just spoiled us.

There were a couple of good things about Legoland, though.  For one, I was able to walk into a pizza restaurant, ask to see the ingredients, and was given a full listing of all natural ingredients in their pizza (not including the pepperoni).  Ben was able to have a cheese pizza for lunch, which was awesome for him.

Second, the kids loved the Test Center, where they built Lego cars and got to race them against other kids.  They also loved the water slide park (which we thought was super lame) and could have stayed there all day.  And we got to spend the day with my sister and her fiance which can turn any situation into a good one.

Here are our photos from Legoland.  We only had our iPhones so please excuse the picture quality.
