Yesterday was Ben's last baseball game of the season, followed by a party to celebrate the last game of the season. At the party the coaches handed out a trophy to every kid on the team, telling a little bit about what each kid was good at or where he improved.
For Ben the coach said: "Ben, the kid who had a girl on every team. If only Ben paid as much attention to baseball as he did to the girls!"
In our eyes, Ben had a great season. Sure, he still only has the attention span for about one inning (they play three at this age). But he has a competitive spirit and really tried his hardest every time he was up at bat. He just got a little bored in the outfield. And he did get distracted by all the girls he knew on the other teams. It's just part of his social nature - Ben LOVES people.
Hopefully for soccer season we will only play other boy teams.
