Down Memory Lane

Three years ago, Darrin and I bought the house that I grew up in.  Even though we completely updated the interior, the place felt like home the minute we moved in.  It doesn't feel like I'm living in my parents house at all, but somehow everything just feels so familiar and comfortable to me.

Lia has been begging us all week to ride bikes as a family, so tonight while Darrin worked on the backhoe getting our yard ready for the contractors that start tomorrow, the kids and I took to our bikes.  Riding back and forth on that old dirt road made me feel like I was ten years old again (the age at which I actually learned to ride a bike).  I used to ride up and down that road by myself a million times.

Tonight I had my babies riding with me.  Seeing them race up and down the rocky terrain, I just smiled, and thanked God for bringing me back home, and allowing my children to experience the wonder of a Wilton country evening.
