Earning A Dollar

Darrin offered to put Ben to work today, paying one dollar per hour.  Ben jumped at the chance.  So the boys went outside to tackle demolition of the existing brick coping around the pool.  Since safety comes first, Darrin outfitted Ben with the proper personal protective equipment:

No, Ben didn't get to use the jackhammer.  But he did get to load the bricks into the backhoe bucket.

Ben took his work very seriously, only took a couple of breaks, and at the end of the day he earned a total of $1.75.  Darrin continued to work and has almost finished removing all the bricks.

Lia and I stayed in the house doing inside chores:  laundry, dishes, clean sheets on the beds, vacuuming, organizing toys and cleaning bathrooms.  A productive day in the Kimble household to be sure.
