Spring Fling

This month's bunco,  hosted by my friend Melody, was prom-themed.  We were instructed to pull out our 80's/90's prom dresses or find an ugly dress to wear.  While I'm sure I would fit in my old prom dresses (right?) I never kept any of them.  So off to Goodwill I went to find an ugly dress - only to be told by the cashier that my dress was "lovely".  Oh boy.  Coupled with my Ugg boots (wore heels all week, needed a break) and Lia's princess crown (I always wanted to be Homecoming Queen), I headed to the party.

Wow, I forgot how uncomfortable prom dresses are.

Big thanks to Mel for hosting such a glamorous event, complete with a chocolate fountain, 90's music and a photo backdrop for prom poses. I do have to say, this was one of the most fun proms I have ever been to!  And no stress about the after-party or getting home by curfew.

Shawna (a.k.a "Pinky") took home the best (worst?) dressed award.  Surprisingly, this month we actually played a complete game of bunco before sharing our life stories about Boon's Strawberry Hill, harsh childhood realities and things we are/will be doing different for our children.  My bunco girls are amazing and I can't imagine life (or prom) without them.
