Today I am leaving the stormy weather of Sacramento to hit Las Vegas. I'm going for work, but my husband is joining me and we have a lot of plans for the weekend: eat well, party hard, rest all day, repeat. We've even got tickets to the Garth Brooks show. We've been looking forward to this weekend for a while now.
But a mom can't just leave that easily can she? First I had to do the laundry, pack for myself and the kids (they are staying at Nonno and Grandma's), make sure the pets are fed and watered (my brother is house sitting, but can't always be relied upon to feed the animals - "I'm not gonna lie, I forgot you had a cat."), prep food to take for the kids (bread, yogurt, cookies, pack crackers, peanut butter, syrup), drop everything off, swing by work, and get myself to the airport.
But now I am here at the gate, about to board my flight. Besides this weather, I have no care in the world and I can't wait to relax and enjoy some downtime with my hubby and some great friends.
Las Vegas, are you ready for me?
